yep, I posted from my Wii in another thread. It's fun to surf the internet from your wii, but it's sheerly a novelty for someone who has a regular internet browser in the same room as his wii like me.

Fond memories of browsing the web on DC, despite it being redundant when you had a computer.

You're using your own internet connection, why would it cost anything else?

Thought current version of wii's opera was a free beta? I heard they'll charge for later versions. O.o;

Oh, and DC browsing was the shit, no cache, no cookies, no history. Practically made for pr0n.

That's basically what the current Wii browser is, Firo. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif

I Want a WII! one thing is stopping me though, Lack of HarDrive is unsettling. Heard rumors you couldd hook up an external hardrive via the USB port, is this true or does that not work?

The only bad rumor i heard is people complaining of having pain in their arms because of swinging too much the Wii remote controller.

The internal 512 Megabytes of spaces isn't that bad. So far, the save files for each game are only 1-3 blocks, the Wii Internet Channel is around 10, and you already start with 2000+ blocks to begin with...

But if you do want to keep stuff somewhere else, you can save stuff on an SD memory card, since there is an SD card port on the front of the console.

That's only because the players are enjoying the games TOO much http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_lol.gif

no, i think you heard it wrong. since the wii was so good for looking at pr0n, their arms were sore for a different reason. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif

The Wii browser's actually pretty good; I used it quite a lot until the internet made its way into the same room, in the form of my almighty macbook http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime1.gif

The Wii browser is good. It's based off Opera, which I like, and it renders most of the common web standards. I can watch YouTube videos on it and use the full Gmail interface.

i have some questions about the Wii........

1. Since you can use the Wii's web browser, if you go to AIM.com, would you be able to use AIM express if you clicked the AIM express button, and log on and be able to talk to all of your friends??

2. How strong is the connection for the Wi-Fi in the Wii to the router. If i put a Wii in my room, the router is almost litteraly directly above it on the next floor up of my house. Would the Wii be able to get any connection to the wireless router?? I have a D-link router btw if that makes any difference.
