Now, I don't want this, "Play however you like," bullcrap. I want to know if I WILL like Protranser.

I don't mind that they're incredibley weak on the get-go. But do they have nice class-levels? Do they catch up to (Or atleast not have half the stats of) every other expert class (Hell, NORMAL classes)? I was thinking of making my Beast a Protranser, but I'm also worried; will not having SRank Weapons really hurt in the end? Are there cool A-Rank rares?

I don't mind making him a second Fortefighter (Since that's what my cast is gonna be) and just have them use different weapons, but I'd like to see what Protransers think of Protranser after levelling them up a bit. My beast is almost Hunter level 5, so if I'm gonna go for it, that's when I'd change to go for it.

Protranser is not easy. PT catches up at lv6, where the characater is back to 100% of the stats. It's a long & painful journey, be prepared. ;]

As far as S ranks go, there are currently only two of them available right now anyways. Crea Doubles, which are S rank double sabers, and Halarod.

Well, I mean for the future. I'm worried, cause I like fists/knuckles/whatever so much.

well, I saw a screen of Rizen leveling up to Protranser 4 and his HP went up by like 100 or solike from 742 to 848, his atp went up by 8, his ata by 8, and his dfp by 1. I don't have a protranser but thats the most I can give about the class leveling up.

Personally I've been having a ton of fun playing my Protranser character even since rank 1, once I got a feel for the level of missions I could take on to start. Once you get used to the low starting point, the class takes off really fast... each rank gives big HP, ATA, and ATP boosts and usually opens up a new ranks of equipment to can use as well for an additional stat boost.

Even a rank 10 PT is going to have unimpressive stats, particularly ATP, but wide array of powerful weapon classes they have available does a lot to keep them on par with other hybrid classes in terms of overall ability. A protranser using all the tools the class has available is an effective combatant in pretty much any role... crowd control, status effect support, even as a damage dealer.

Protransers?:
Protransers are weird in many ways. Their stats start out extremely low, but as time goes on, they get quite a bit higher. Their HP more than doubles. Their ATP and DEF grow over 1.5x and their ATA doubles. If you grind your way up as a protranser you are rewarded generously, but you still quite low in your main stats. A human or newman protransers for example, even at level 60 and at level 10 protranser STILL cannot equip axes (A male human prontraser should end up with 388 atp, I may be slightly off, but that still means female humans and all newmans can't equip them). Until job level 5 or 6, you won't even be able to touch lasers and gernade launchers. A protranser probably can't equip S-rank weapons simply becaus they barely even have the stats to equip A-rank (hell, they can't even equip most a-rank melee).
