    lol, "vas" i think means "of" and the other word is where they are from, country, continent, and after the Geth, ship name+^_^+ kinda like the Old English surnames like Henry of Kent, though today it would just be Henry Kent+^_^+ a lot of peoples' surnames are based on birth location as well as lineage and occupation like "John, the Miller" or "John, Jack's son"+^_^+
