I notice you walked into my page so I came here. I like Queens blade but it took so long for it to come out as a TV series.

I can't say I blame you for quitting really. Sometimes the game does get real dull. However, we have a big event starting on the 17th, so if you ever did want to give the game another shot, that'd be the perfect opportunity.

It's funny; whenever I want to cancel my subscription, Sega announces an event.

I watched The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya a while ago (probably over a year ago, not sure) and loved it. I remember shortly after seeing it, me and two other friends (Touka and one who has now quit) made characters in PSU based on it (namely Haruhi, Mikuru and Yuki). They were mainly made just for a laugh (since we had extra character space), but it ended up being pretty hilarious. It was a really fun series though; what with Yuki's mad computer skills and Mikuru generally getting abused by Haruhi

And yeah, a few things I've seen reference Romance of the Three Kingdoms (Ikkitousen, Koihime Musou (which I haven't seen yet, just know of) and the Dynasty Warriors games from what I recall).

Of course, in Ikkitousen, the story is definitely second to the fanservice

Season 3 in general seemed to stray away from the more adult stuff I think. There didn't even seem to be as many exploding school uniforms It was nice seeing Kan'u's character open up more though. As much as I liked her as a hardass, it was funny seeing the softer side of her. To be honest though, I think the writers had to do it (since Kan'u, Ryuubi and Chouhi play the role of the three sworn brothers Guan Yu/Liu Bei and Zhang Fei in the Romance of the Three Kingdoms). I guess the writers of Ikkitousen decided 'oh damn, we have to fit a story around all this skirt!' I gotta say, I love Chou'un Shiryuu as well, it's just a shame she's not in the anime that much.

As for Queen's Blade, the anime is my introduction to it. I actually assumed it was based on a manga, but Touka told me that wasn't the case. Hopefully there's some better subs for the anime though; the ones I've seen so far are either incomplete or just really bad Engrish

It's pretty funny though, I just kinda leech off whatever Touka watches and recommends, since I have absolutely no idea what are good/bad series. Speaking of which, I need to get around to watching Gurren Lagann. >_>

All this talk of Ikkitousen and Queen's Blade lured me here

I'd never really heard of Queen's Blade, but a friend (surprisingly, not Touka) told me to watch the anime. 2 Episodes and I really don't know what to make of it! I mean, I thought Ikkitousen had enough fanservice, but jeez... Also, exploding endowments and some frog action kinda made me scratch my head a bit. I'll probably keep watching though, just to satiate the need for more fanservice

As for Ikkitousen, I watched all 3 seasons. In my opinion, the first isn't as good as the 2nd season, but might still be worth a watch to you. Unfortunately, season 1 barely features Kan'u at all and is nearly all Hakufu

Thankfully, season 2/3 made up for it with gratituous Kan'u fanservice
