Well, I just spammed where weapons and armors/units dropped, and eventually leveled up a lot. I tried to find what I'd use, hunt it til I get it. I suggest Flaming Horns, on ad-hoc for the repca, and True darkness doe the Red armor. It has 4 slots, and from that mission you can get other items, (rattlesnake, GuldMilla, and Skull Sorcerer) and a few other things.
