Strangely, it doesn't. I dunno why, though. It's close to face-to-face, yes, but strangely it doesn't embody nor empower the human being with emotions as strongly as being in front of each other. Maybe it's the human psyche or something interfering because the mind unconsciously removes emotional limiters due to it knowing the person's actually not there or something. I really don't know, but it's different.

Yes, one person is enough. Confiding in people, though, should be private. These forums are no where near private. Sure private (lol, just misspelled this as 'primate') messaging is technically so, but nothing's better than saying it out loud. Typing doesn't bring up emotions, words do. If you have a bad memory, writing it out or typing it out only lessens the blow. Speak of it to an actual person, and you erase it all together.

Sorry I can't be of more help. I still stress the importance of face-to-face contact with someone you can trust. You may not find somebody soon, but chances are high that one day you'll find that person. Once you find that person, don't let him/her go, as these chances come by rarely. Like in Eminem's 'Lose Yourself', that's the only opportunity you've got.

Repeating myself: find someone who you CAN open up to. I seriously can't help you further than saying this. I'm not a very good person to go to, nor do I know anyone. But you do. They're your classmates, your friends, your peers and associates and buddies. They're your help.

Video chatting is so common place these days that it's become nothing more than calling people on a phone. That and I don't have a working webcam.

Like I keep saying, the face-to-face atmosphere is so much different. It's really hard to explain.

Well, though he kinda swats at me each time I call him it, he doesn't really object so I guess we're as close as blood siblings.

I dunno. Having face-to-face conversations often feels much different than a LCD screen, you know? It's harder to say things directly from your voice, your face rather than have the protective barrier of countless optic-fiber cables and horizons and horizons of seas and continents.

It's better if it is. For example, talking with my brother over the net isn't the same as meeting in person, which actually doesn't occur often.

BTW, dunno if I've told you this before, but my 'brother' isn't blood related. I just like to call him that. It gets on his nerves =D.

Get to know your closest friends more, then see if you can expand on that relationship. That's always a good first step.

My advice: get someone to talk to. My brother was in a similar situation, albeit less severe-sounding. He helped others out, but he never had anyone to help him out. Over the summer I tried talking to him and, well, the rest is personal.

Anyways, it helps. It should be a face-to-face talk, though, not over MSN or Facebook or Skype or anything. Direct contact is better.

I have relatively few close friends. I have a tight circle of maybe 5 or so. Don't have many guy friends. About 99% of my guy contact is with my brother -_-;.
