Hmm...if you've ever played PSPo1, there shouldn't be too much trouble.

If you transitioned from PSU, like I did, there are a few things to watch out for.

Since there are the Guard and Dodge features, enemies are stronger. For example, Deljabans will no longer only attack once; they'll chain together 3 hits (like a character with a saber). Most enemies will chain their attacks. The ones to watch out for are Pannons (x2 Barta), Bel Pannons (x3 Barta), Wolfu (attacks knock you down, attacks are timed so that you don't have a chance to get back up), and anything that casts Techniques.

BECAUSE of the above paragraph, you'll want to use those new features. A lot. Your health and damage will be much lower than in PSU, and elements play a much larger role. Traps become more tactical and more useful, while the number of monomates, dimates, and trimates you can carry at once is dropped to 10.

PP is no longer on the weapon; it's a player stat that recovers over time (I'm pretty sure you know this, but just in case). PP regenerates at a set percentage rate for different races. From highest PP to lowest:
Newman-Human-CAST-Beast

From fastest PP regen (melee attacks recover PP as well; this is included):
CAST-Newman-Human-Beast

The genders now have different strengths. I'm fairly sure the males have higher ATP, ATA, DEF, and HP, while the females have higher PP, MST, TP, and EVP. In other words, one is more direct, the other is more support.

The last difference is that Newmans no longer have the highest EVP (I think). Which totally sucks bollocks since I'm a hardcore Newman Acrofighter fan...

Some titles are easy to get; others are just so vague that extreme luck is all you can do to get some (like the 60% element ones).

Moved into a new apartment in Shanghai. About 80% of the stuff in here doesn't work or has some kind of malfunction...even the front door.

For me, I usually try to get as many titles as I can. Just got the Super Monster achievement (killed 25,000 monsters), which apparently took me 170 hours o.0. That and playing around with clothes/parts to see which fits my characters best.

No, I haven't. The only person I know that has another PSP and has PSP2 is only at lv. 40...compare that to my lv. 116 . I do want to try it sometime, though.

I might make a Beast or Human Hunter sooner or later...after I get my Newman to lv. 30 Force and Braver =P as well as my CAST to lv. 30 Ranger =P.

I'm a hardcore Newman fangirl...fairly certain you're sure of that xD. I did start a new CAST female yesterday, though. Crazy PP regen, but 80 less PP -_-;.

The normal framerate for PSP2 is 100 fp/s. On multi- and infra- structure modes the fp/s drops to 60 fp/s.

You might xD. But there's no way I'm restarting my Newman Braver from scratch >.<.

The demo is a MUCH SMALLER FILE. That alone should cause differences.

The framerate drops for any PSP using PSP2's multi-modes.

I don't think I'll get the English version of PSP2. I tried playing PSU:AotI yesterday, and I could not figure out what was what (too used to Japanese). Also, slower movement speed, no blocking, and lower stats all-around.

I got my PSPgo for my sweet 16th. Ended up sharing it with my brother, who got FFXIII for his 17th (fun fact: we were born on the same day exactly 1 year apart).

My brother and I suck...well, male genitalia at Monster Hunter. The only difference is, he knows how to heal.

He (brother) has a lotta friends who're addicted to it, though. Well, not that I care...but it is funny watching him try to play (until he forks the PSP over to me).

The Japan proxy's Engrish is so well-made that I have absolutely no idea what it's trying to say. Also, it's painful to read . But at least it works.

What's intense is Devil May Cry 4. It was fun up until the difficulty mode where enemies get x10 health and 0HKO you guaranteed...

Sounds...intense. But since I'm stuck in the backwater country known as China, I probably won't be able to play Dissidia for a loooooong time. I'll be on my list of things to do, though.
