Ok, this is a little experiment as I haven't done a semi-serious group-fic before (or written about androids (or read any of DeathScytheAlpha's fics http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/im...icon_frown.gif )).

ALL are welcome as long as they read the guidelines below.

1. Do NOT talk about fight club.

2. Spam is to be kept to an absolute minimum. It must only be about story issues and only contributors can spam as long as it is *Absolutely Necessary*. (Kadou I'm looking at you here.)

3. Do not do anything that would disrupt the flow of the story, like killing another contributor's character without their permission, introducing magic potions or altering the fabric of time and space.

4. Comments should be separated from story in your posts by underscores e.g. ______________________________.

5. Mono/Di/TriMates and Resta are not all powerful magic healing things. They will only help with minor wounds or make serious wounds less so. Moon atomisers will only be useful in the event that the deceased's body has not been fatally wounded (else they will revive only to die about a second later).

6. If you are unsure about joining in, don't be! Just introduce your character(s) in the backround and when you have built up enough confidence it should be easy to have them meet up with the main characters in a coincidental fashion.

7. This group-fic is semi-serious, this means there is humour but not silliness (Unlike "Welcome To Ragol").

Rise Of The Machines

Rachet craned his head back to take in the high vaulted roof of the dimly lit room they had just entered. He let out a low whistle of appreciation. He nudged his RAcast companion with his elbow.

"Hey Clank. Check out that architecture eh? Can you imagine it? We're some of the first Coralans to ever step foot into this place."

"I do not need to imagine it. We are here now."

Rachet sighed loudly. "Looks like your 'figure-of-speech' chip is busted. Well enough chat, lets make history!"

The RAmar took a few steps foreward but paused at a juddering sound coming from behind him. He turned to see Clank in mid-stride shaking.

"Does not Compute!"

"What doesn't compute? We're in the ruins of an ancient civilisation buried over a kilometre below the surface. Thats not a normal everyday situation you know."

Clank stopped shaking and straightened up.

"I MUST KILL -"

Rachet took a few steps back, alarmed at the android's outburst.

"Whoa buddy! Are you okay?"

"Illegal input! I must return to Pioneer Two for repairs." With that final statement, Clank spun around and stomped off back towards the entrance of the ruins.

Rachet scratched his head. He had never seen Clank act like that before. He turned again to look in the vast room. From somewhere beyond came back the alien shriek of something clearly not friendly.

"Wait up!" Called out the RAmar running hurriedly after his distant partner.

I don't think we've quite decided on the next group fic yet. Still, I'll join in if this takes off.

But I am always amused by people who say they will join in if others do, the others are waiting to, so no one posts.

I've had THREE group fics fail like that! Come on Garanz! Don't be afraid!

As Ratchet and Clank turned round and headed out of the ruins, Antitank sighed. She wasn't afraid of strange noises or malfunctional fellow droids. This was an important mission, with a massive meseta reward at the end. She wasn't about to put her tail between her legs and run. Antitank drew her twin daggers, smiled as the blades activated, and stretched her arms. If this place was anything like the mines, there would be plenty of combat ahead. Combat was fun, especially if she was winning.

The entire area was slightly hazy, and Antitank detected various minimally harmful chemicals in the air. For the umpteenth time since she became an android she realised what a blessing a lack of sense of smell could be.

The walls of the small room were coated in strange designs and glyphs. Neither Antitank nor her orange Sato bothered to try to translate them as she strode confidently into the first corridor. Everything was silent, apart from the slight humming of her daggers.

I'll leave it there for now. I suppose more than just a lone HUcaseal would be venturing into the ruins. I'll expand on that once I know who's participating and who isn't.

are we going to run this parallel to the rest of the group fics? oh well, im implementing the little subplot from all the small things...

Mome sat in his thronelike chair, petting his small white cat. The room closely resembled Tyrell's office, but with a sinister aura about it. He looked to his left to see Yaski sitting down on the ground holding her Yaskimov7000. He then looked to the right and saw one of his 'agents' standing with his arms crossed, the RAcast was painted in pitch black stealth paint.

"Black paper, Kafka is here sir" sounded on his small com device

"Send him in."

A red and black HUcast, eight feet tall, walked in, purple bood still dripping from his hands.

"Have you completed your mission, Kafka?"

The android kneeled down and bowed his head

"Yes, master. All rappies have been terminated. from the lowly rag rappy to the elusive love rappy."

"And what of the infected del rappy?"

"Terminated" He said, raising his hands and showing the putrid purple blood.

"Eeeeeeeeexelent" Mome said, with a broad smile.

"What is my next mission, master?"

"You are to escort Yaski into the ruins and find my, 'parcel' it should be in the engine room, since that is where my agent last sent its transmission"

"ERROR! DOES NOT COMPUTE!" Kafka twitched, sparks and electricity shooting out momentarily.

"What?" Mome said, taking on a confused look. Yaski stood quickly and got in between her master and Kafka.

"MUST KILL-"

Intantly the 'agent' drew its Justy and opened fire, the bullets bouncing off of his advanced plating.

"MuSt SeE MaStEr-"

Yaski opened fire as well, making many dents and dings on Kafka's armor, and grabbing hold of Mome.

"I'll just play dead for now" With that, mome went lifeless and limp.

"MaStEr CaLlS FoR mE-" Kafka stood and turned, walking out of the room.

Mome came out of his catatonic state and sat back down.

"Secretary, i want every agent not doing delicate operations to hunt down Kafka, now...."

Im game, hope we can get some origional ideas cooked up soon.

Janet yelled and jumped aside as the glowing blade of the creature struck through empty space.

"Come on you cruddy..." Of all times her sniper decided that it was time to kick the bucket. She side stepped and tried to use the sniper like an improvised club. A dull thud greeted her efforts as the weapon bounced and recoiled away from the creatures thick hide.

"Not good" The monstrosity made no noise, it raised its arm again preparing for another strike. Janet stumbled backwards, she desperatly tried to maintain her balance but ended up falling flat on her back. The horrific creature swung again, he rolled aside not to soon. The blue blade on the montser arm managed to slice through the arm piece of her outfit.

Janet kicked out at its legs, knocking it to the ground face down; If you could call it a face. She drew the brand from her belt and slammed its tip against the skin of the delsaber, once activated the blue photon energy ate hungrily into the hardened flesh. It let off an unearthly shriek as it struggled to get free, but it was pinned down.

She swiftly retrieved her sniper, after she hit it a few times the weapon sputtered to life. Taking quick aim, Janet pulled the trigger letting loose the deadly photon straight to the delsabers head. Janet raised an arm as the torso spattered over the floor, trying in vain to ward of the green ooze that was the creatures contents.

Janet grimaced as she picked up her brand, she wiped it against her shorts but realized that they too had been covered with delsaber insides. Clipping the brand back onto her belt she swore to herself.

"Im gonna give that shop keeper hell for this. Its going to take forever to clean all this crap off of me."

The HUnewearl thought of going back to the Pioneer 2 but decided against it.

"At least there's some water flowing down that..."

It seemed like someone had already been here. Disappointing. Antitank continued through the next few rooms. All of them were caked in purple and green blood. Finally, Antitank came to a large room. A huge pit filled one corner, and several small waterfalls trickled down it. The room was huge, stretching for several meters. It also looked untouched by battle. Antitank's sato hovered by her shoulder, glancing round the room. Antitank stood still, her daggers ready for action, but everything was quiet and still...

Antitank stood competely still for almost a minute, taking in the environment. She then casually swung her arms backwards, trisecting the Delsaber creeping up on her.

"I hate sneak attacks."

All of a sudden, enemies began to materialise all around her. Crude flying blades, to barely intelligent creatures with swords for hands.

"Stupid, crude and powerful. Just the way I like 'em." Anti tank leapt on the mass of enemies, her daggers cutting gashes through flesh and chitin. She felt a blade graze her back, and laughed. She was far too good for these weak monsters.

"Bring on the hard stuff!" She yelled, as the last dimenian collapsed into a pool of blood. But nothing happened. Everything was silent once more.

The Ruins hadnt been opened for long, but already large groups of Hunters were swarming all over the place. Intelligent Hunters went in groups, brave Hunters went alone. Malice was from the latter group.

He twisted the blade from left to right and pulled it out of the Diminians corpse. A few seconds later and the things body had disapeared, leaving Malice to stare a the large puddle of blood it had left behind.

"What is with these things" he muttered to himself as he cleaned the blood off of his agito. He stood up and flicked back his long blue hair, and for a second the long scar that ran down his right eye was visible. Even though he was a brave hunter, even this place gave him the creeps.

A noise! He heard the sound of battle and knew he had to get there. He sheathed his balde and sprinted for the door.
