PSU: Figunner& Wartecher: My opinion (Just switched)

Well last night I finally leveled up my force job so that I could go wartecher. Normally I am a LVL 62 Figunner(7).

Wartecher always interested me because of the soloing capabilities. But after I switched I tested the soloing abilities on S ranked missions.

It always seemed to me that to solo as a figunner was extremely hard I think fortefighter can solo better than figunner. Its not impossible but time consuming and expensive. With a wartecher it doesnt compare at how easy it is now. At lvl 1 wartecher i can solo mad creatures in about 25 to 30 min.

Honestly the only thing that i miss about figunner is the lvl 21+ skills. But the I love the bow and the cards that i have access too and i can still use sharp twins and deljagnus. With buffs the damage i deal is not that bad either. By the way my character is human so my tp is pretty high as a wartecher hell its hi as a figunner (not sure why)

In parties i can sustain an entire group of about lvl 60 (my resta is only lvl 5 right now). Just wanted to share this.

Is there any others that have switched from figunner to wartecher what are your thoughts?

Well I switched from Fortetecher to Wartecher. I gotta say that I'm liking it. Having the option of switching to Full Melee pallette, to full force pallette, or a mix of the two is far from boring. The effect loss from my techs was not drastic, and the damage that I do with my daggers, while not uber, is still respectable.

i went from fighgunner to wartecher. i likied it for awhile but its just not me. my play style is too spam lvl 30 pas everywhere. and mates heal me faster than resta. i dont really get owned enough to need resta. but i did get a nice chunk of change selling my alterics that i bought for 35k grinded them to 5 sold them 120k

I've played both classes with my Newman... from a newman perspective... the TP really helps when you switch over to wartecher... especially when you cant deal certain enemies like the robots. Granted you're taking an ATP hit but if you can endure the battle and still kill, its not a bad thing... its a trade off. Just remember to use those buffs and debuffs too.

i've always played WT, but sometimes I feel like I don't like WT, so I switch for FF or Fg, I buy a bunch of stuff. I like it for....a run or two? then I just go back. so yeah I wub WT.

The main Difference I can see (apart from playstyle), is that Wartechers pay a lot up front for spells. (you'll need/want 10-12 to start off, and it goes up from there.)

Figunners pay more for high % weapons, and don't use spells.

In my opinion since I'm lvl 10 wt MHu.I've been wartecher since Expert Class day.I have to say the only good about figh if you are going for a dbs fighter is the traps other than that the class is garbage. Doulbe Saber is way overhyped.It's garbage against 1v1 fights.

Ya i hav a fighgunner(10) and fortefighter(5) and just got a sudden urge to go wartecher a few days ago for soloing... I like it now as a level 1, so i kno ill like it after spammin bruce Bs... i didnt wanna take up many slots at all on spells, so i bought 8 total: 2 healing, and one surrounding/one ranged for fire, ice, and ground... (rafoie, gifoie, rabarta, gibarta, diga, gidiga, resta, reverser)... i spammed these for a day or two and got each to 11 (wasnt hard as a lvl 66 human)
after experimenting with this setup, i completely recommend it... setting up a wand with the same element boosts its % (thats why i got 2 of each, so pick 2 u kno ull use if u dont wanna waste PA slots) so set ur wands all to elements and keep one all healing cuz thats prolly why u ecame wartecher n the first place hehe by the way, i got my spells up really fast, so in case u were wondering - resta/reverser: VALLEY OF CARNAGE, experiment til u find a difficulty that u take a lot of damage but not enough to die 2 fast (i used B with no armor on) get in the middle of 3 or 4 vandas n let em beat the hell outta ya, ull constantly be burned so resta/reverser will level roughly the same time... everything else, i used hive B black heart runs-that way i could spam and be useful

Hey thanks that is helpful info. Im still learning the class. I have to say that i think I have fallen in love with the bows. They hit pretty hard i just shelled out for the 7* Hanmateri after using Rikalbari I love the bows.

Looks like you're doing fine. Personally I'd switch out the handguns with cards, they're simply a lot more effective as far as I can tell. I'd also suggest obtaining an Alteric, with grinds the one I own is already stronger than the 8* Roksari. Go for the Cometara only if you reeeeally want the PP. I've been using ground up 6* Tenora wands(highest TP)and the occasional Crozier when I absolutely need PP and haven't run into any problems yet. Dambarta kicks serious arse btw, even if we only get lvl 20 spells.

Im not saying that figunners are garabage I like how wartechers are self sufficient. They can join any party at anytime. I still like figunner alot. I just think wartecher<figunner having played both classes.

Reading some force guides I'm guessing foie/diga for damage. Damubarta/damudiga to keep things staggered. Gizonde if you want to shock allot of things.

I haven't been leveling my attack techs though.

WT (10) is the most hp a human or newman can get, 2nd best for beast. WT and FF both get a x1.3 hp bonus at (10). I have atp similiar to fg (4) too.

Sure, it's not the best at allot of things but I like trading power for being incredibly self-sufficient.

We only get rare S twin daggers and S daggers.. I guess I can help others farm for materials for their Ss maybe in exchange for the dagger boards. (will have to figure out trades later this year)

So for WT the bonuses come at lvl 6 and 10? How many HP do you have nani? Your beast right? Or newman?

Oh and can someone tell me what attack spells get lvl 3 SE that wt has access to?

I'm Beast Female, I have 2100 hp at lvl 64.

I also switched from Fighgunner (6) to Wartecher (2 now).... I like it much better, lots more defenses and good solo abilities which is what I find myself doing a lot now... helps if I can keep my PM alive too!
The only thing I really miss is the twin handguns.

I have rising crush (excellent in my opinion because of the knock down effect.

I have the first twin dagger pa but not really sure about if will continue to use it or twin daggers. The pa flinch that it causes enemies is not that great.

I have Dus Dagga? Spear PA

Im considering switching to single daggers second pa for the knockup ability and knuckles 2nd pa. I considered twin claws but there is no knockdown I think the single claw pa causes knockdown which would make it more effective for WT.

So what PA's are wartecher rolling with these days?

Yeah, twin daggers first PA is for damage, not flinching. The second part is essentially the first with fewer hits but added attack. They were more useful before the nerf but I always keep a pair on me just in case I need to do some quick damage. Remember that they will be one of the few things we get S-ranks in as well. If you're a Beast or Human wartecher you might want to consider twin sabers with Rising Crush if flinching and knock up is what you're looking for.

working on maxxing all my gi spells... gidiga maxxed, gizonde at 19, just bought gibarta.. soloing linear line gets tedious... but so does bruces.

I play a total support SDJZing WT so wand space becomes an issue... with my TP being what it is now (63/9) my spells are doing great damage if I set myself in the middle of a crowded area... just need some more A class wands and a maxxed out gibarta before I try something like bruces out.


I recommend becoming real anal about buff/debuffing.. get the ones you plan to use at 11 and things will fly by that much quicker. you help the fighters out AND rake in the xp with the tag of the spell... my zalure is just about to cap at 20 I use it so much

haven't taken that plunge yet... seeing as though I like getting right in the thick of it to debuff.. gi-spells can be mighty useful.... until the fighters overuse knockback

Yeah, lvl 20 debuff is nothing to laugh at and I've found Gifoie to be pretty useful. Dambarta and damdiga have become my new best friends though. Decent, continuous damage, lvl 3 status effects, and the ability to make crap flinch like crazy=win.

Just changed my PA's last night got gravity strike and added Jitseen and Railgun to my palette to replace Shinsuki-azashi (7* twin daggers) Next i will get single daggers. Sold the 7* twin daggers for 70k http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpb...icon_smile.gif they were 22% ice So now i have to stock up my money. I see the asami-zashi is pretty cheap in Players shops usually around 30k.

I believe gravity strike has knockdown on second hit.

I was a Fortetecher and after I took a look at the full 36 TECHNIC spread I became less and less enamored by it. In the end I was starting to want to melee more and more .. so i picked up my 3 ranks in hunter then switched to Wartecher and I am having ALOT more fun. Since i leveled some of my TECHNICS well into the 20's I dont have to worry about leveling my hard hitting attack spells, however the joy of being able to break out the dagger-fu is very nice. I even went back through the story missions to see how diffferent they felt as a wartecher, and I dare say I felt more of a badass this time around than I did as a Fortetecher.

Now dont get me wrong Fortetecher was very fun, I did crazy damage and as long as i stayed out of reach of the baddies; I soloed very well. I liked it alot, but I only used a select few spells; In the end thats why I quit the job; I didnt want to play the job just for a few spells when thats what a FT is supposed to be about, I felt I wasnt playing it right so i made a change. Im pretty sure I have found my calling with Wartecher, and wont be looking back.
