The general consensus is that the extra damage its awakened mode does isn't worth the ridiculous lag on all of its attacks and that Wanda is a more practical option in the long run.

Start holding the PA button shortly after Melon leaves your hand, and you should catch it for another toss as long as you have PP...

Those attack stats are low compared to the other 10* pets.

10* Torim has 988+100 T-ATK for comparison.

Is there some kind of visual cue for when you're supposed to hit the PA button again in order to keep spamming Melon Strike without your pet KOing itself?

It's kind of lame that dead quests are the only places you can get higher rarity Maron/Melon when EQs aren't going.

People pretty much never run UQs outside of weekends and boost weeks on ship 6.

How long does it take them to self-destruct once they're at max charge?

Hoping it's long enough to use them to block Nyau. then blow up the bosses he summons.

The personalities either have a chance to restore HP when taking damage or deal increased when at low HP.

If you want to amass low rarity Melon for the sake of locating one with the right ability, they drop from Knight Gears.

Convenient that they provided easy access to those via the EXP quest.

Aside from the shield and explosion, Maron/Melon seem to have rather similar PAs to other pets.

They have a Wanda Break-esque melee AoE, a multi-hitting Sari Chaser-like projectile that sacrifices...

The only source of attack power that doesn't boost pet damage is your weapon, so yes.

The fact that the Torim egg drops are about four times higher then the any of Slave or Ares weapon drops in Lillipa UQ makes me mildly hopeful that getting one might not be too terrible of a grind.

Lillipa UQ is the only quest I've seen that has a Torim drop rate that could be considered decent.

Angel could only drop 13* while the previous LQ was active unfortunately.

The rates look about as bad as with the previous LQ.

Seems like Lillipa UQ has the best odds out of all the potential sources.

I'm curious as to just how much damage the new pets can sponge before they self-destruct. It seems like taking any damage at all sets off their timer.

Are those rolls that reduce PP costs by 10% during Alter Ego worth using?

You can apparently stack two of them for a 20% reduction, and the effect sounds more useful to me then the tiny attack...

They really need to give "smart" targeting to all pet attacks by making their hitboxes prioritize hitting weak points over other spots.

Regardless, I never really feel useless in any of the TD...

Seems like pets gain the same amount of EXP from PSO2es chips as they would an egg of equivalent rarity, which is really useful once they hit level 100+ as the EXP from eggs of rarities less then 10*...

The only 10* eggs I've been getting with any degree of frequency are Wanda from Doctor Gidoras.

I thought Magisa Meduna had a decent rate on Torim eggs after getting four in two kills of max...
