By reds I just mean the Red Weapons, I was worried about losing the minimum damage cap from extending and harming myself more than helping when extending, but your last few lines cleared up a bunch...

Can someone suggest some knuckles to aim for while leveling? I'm not quite at reds yet.
Also do I extend or not? As far as I know I'd only extend the reds and just +10 rares.
