also female newman fortefighter is laughable. male beasts are doing like twice your damage

5/5 has roughly 700 atp +50% bonus = 1050atp against ice creatures

10/10 has roughly 800 atp+32% bonus(32x8= 256) =1056 against ice creatures

Personally i think the 10/10 is a better weapon...

best thing you can do is just use weapons you like
