Each pulse of Shifta or Deband gives 15 seconds of buff. So in order to have it for 1 minute you must get all 4 pulses. You have to wait for the 4 pulses to be done before casting the next buff...

Synthing was one of the worst factors of PSU. It was one of the biggest flaws and what made me quit playing in the long run.
