I've only ever managed an 11-chain, and I'm pretty sure I got that from fighting Octo Diablo a half-dozen times in a row.

I've played both the JP and US versions on an R4III and an Acekard2i, and the drop rates seem to be just fine. I found plenty of lv. 12-15 spells while in hard mode, and I'm not having any trouble...

Since you had to finish every quest in Hard to unlock Very Hard.

The Tower is great for leveling and grinding for items. Making it a requirement was pretty much bull, though.

Just got one while doing a Hard tower run. I'm not done with the Tower yet, though. Can't check it out until I finish. :/
