So does this mean that we might finally see new beasts? And the return of beasts being the best fighters? On second thought, better not get my hopes up too high.

Honestly you can roll any race as whatever job and get away with it in most cases. for example a beast can play a gunner class just as well as a cast would thanks to the ranger jobs excessive...

Damage doesnt matter in this game anymore. By the time you cast that second spell on a rod a fortefighter will have already Jabroga'd everything so use what you like.
