Probably gave up. SJS is the ultimate burn out item, you spend weeks and never find it then just give up and stop playing entirely. Happens to almost everyone at some point in their PSO career....

It does, for whatever reason. But you can absolutely play them with real players. I guess it gives you that message so another player doesn't troll you and invite an NPC of their own or something.
