I wouldn't worry about the private servers. On the Sega servers I would get FSOD multiple times a day, on the private ones I have not seen a single hack since I started. And don't worry about them...

Also they came up with the idea for the battle system first, then decided to attach the PSO franchise to it so it would sell better.

On the private server everything is unlocked from the beginning.

The PSOX servers are run by Microsoft rather than Sega, and since it's a part of their big Live infostructure I suspect they'll be around for a while.

Differences from GC? I think the GC version...

The one tonight wasn't new, but it was recent. And yes The Simpsons and Family Guy both such now even though they used to be good.

Sega has potential, they just don't try. I bet PSO would still be making them money if they would have figured out a way for platforms to play with each other and actually gave a sh!t about hackers...

The Blue Burst private servers usually have around six times as many people playing at one time than the official servers do.

Well the Earth is going to end someday too, but that doesn't mean I can't enjoy it while it's still here. And as long as the private servers are around, PSO is still here.

Just curious, I've been seeing a lot of talk of "taking characters online" lately. Does this mean you can now take your Extra Mode characters online, or are these people simply referring to remaking...

Here's what they need to do to win me over:

1) Make Blue Burst free.
2) Add Episode III to Blue Burst.

Dunno if they've been paying attention but hardly anyone still pays for BB it seems. ...

If you want a game that's just like PSO, then just play PSO.
