Like the title says for my second character, attempted to correct the shading.

Holy Cow! I got a resonse!
The only thing really bothering me here is the hips. They look a little awkward; almost like she was forcibly bent in half rather than bending at the hips normally. I think it has to do with the abrupt way her torso meets her crotch. Women have kind of a Y shape down there that's missing here.
Other than that, the face is well-defined and all the other shapes seem to be there. Keep it up, Max, I want to see more like this.

I think I see what you're saying, I didn't figure that out on my own, looks kind of like she's not bent and sting... hmmm I should look into adding some detail there in the future. Can't say I'm suprised about the croch either (being a good little christian boy without a wife, I don't look there very often XP).On 2007-01-08 20:10, HUnewearl_Meira wrote:

And for the full unedited version:

Wow, nice work, Ben. I didn't know you could draw. ;o
I really like your work on her fingers. Fingers are something I see a lot of people mess up. But yours look really nice. You've got potential!
Woot for amature practice!
(The hands where the hard part to draw? Sure lets go with that...)

very nice work for a start face of shape is just dandy and the body proportions are preety much dead on spot, heck, you got the arm lenght proportion correct, that's one of the hardest bits for beginer artists X3 looks very nice overall, not to mention the clothes look snazzy, agreed with the crotch detail, but hey, religion and status matter little if your goal is artistic, one of my favorite exercises my second teacher taugth me is to just sit on a bench and casually watch people walk by while you have a sketchpad handy, just look how the body works as it moves and then sketch away happily~
all in all, good work and hope to see more of you
Okay so here's a question: anyone want to color the picture? I thnk I might in the future but I can't say for sure (might not have the time).
