Paper Lantern is an item drop from Neudaiz areas. I never heard of it being a synthesis board.

Hmm. You make a very interesting point. We were all told that there are some very specific and unusual items, that can be made, only by failed synths. I don't think there's even a faq, out there, that covers information about failed synths.
