PSU: PSO Basic Questions

I have two questions about PSU before I decide to buy it....

1. Is there an offline mode?
I checked all over the FAQs and found nothing on this.

2. If so, is Multi-Player available offline?
I also checked for this, and I found no information on it. I loved the GC PSO, and if there is no offline mode w/ Multiplayer I will be heartbroken...

1. Yes. Story mode is set up more like your typical JRPG, predefined character with linear story. Extra mode is essentially the free missions of story mode, that you can do with your own created character. You will have to play through story mode through chapter 4 to unlock extra mode mind you.

2. No, there is no offline multiplayer. Online and offline modes operate a little differently than they did in PSO.

I am still sad there's no multiplayer.....
They should have added that, It would have made the game a lot better.

(Maybe a Multiplayer Online Function too....)

Maybe offline multiplayer. Online multiplayer would be terrible however.

Probably, it would be chaotic for awhile....
Maybe it's okay the way it is, but I will always miss multiplayer.

Besides, I have another question:
About how much does it cost to play online? (Total, Hunter License and all?)
