what are these Lucky stars? were can I find out how many I have?

They appear by your name above your head.

Nothing means 0 luck.
A few white stars means 1 luck.
A bunch of white stars means 2 luck.
A big orange glowing star means 3 luck (max luck).

Luck determines your chance of finding rares and your chance at succeeding at grinding.
