That's it. 1st of April at 00:10 Japanese hour, 31st March 17:10 in central europe. 11:10 in EST, 8:10 PST the servers for PSO Gamecube have been shutdown.

Must say there was thousands of people. Over 4thousand at the end there saying goodbye PSO... in a very nostalgic mood.
Last minutes I swapped to EP3 for play ending songs in the jukebox

I made some pics but im not sure the page for upload them works.

At least the visual bbs for upload pics is still working. It goes very slow because I guess everyone must be uploading the last pictures they have taken.
Also now I was thinking that they could have had the consideration to shut them down around 8-9 am japanese time so people could enjoy last night... they closed servers at peak time x_x

You can go look the pictures the people is uploading. We could say few funerals have such a big extension of pictures...

Last PSO Episode 1&2 pictures In one hour it has 170 entries already.

    Last PSO Episode 3 pictures

These are the pictures I took myself. I may add more that I find nice while browsing other people's entries.

3662 online players in JP ships that was around 2 hours before shutdown. The closer it was the time it kept increasing. Last I saw was around 4070 users at 15 minutes before and around 40 in US, 20 in EU.

My final rank for Episode 3, 270th KING.

Good Bye PSO. No other online game provided me such fun and enjoyment over long time.

That's it... the Game Over screen of PSO. Inanimate characters standing still in lobby. And that is the message that appeared in the moment the servers were shutdown.

Another angle of the GAME OVER screen.

That's all from myself, I go to see what has other people submitted.

Well you understand me... PSO was designed for revolutionize online gaming in consoles. Every aspect of the game was focused in offering a console experience not a PC product.
The most popular PSO versions have been the ones in Dreamcast and Gamecube. PSO, PSO ver.2, PSO EPisode 1&2 and PSO Episode 3 C.A.R.D. Revolution.

PSO was born in consoles and has died in consoles.
