Ah, C-rank, back when recharges didn't cost 1000 meseta and enemies didn't eat 7-10 techs before biting it.

Your straw man argument seemed to deserve a returning straw man; how does the shoe feel on the other foot? Pinches a bit, does it?

You do have a point, however; the dps using Gi technics IS lower with a human. I'd think with a newman it would match, however.

It takes me 4 seconds to use Dus Robado (the widest-sweeping all around PA that we have) with a 20% light Mukfet and deal 1140 damage to 3 level 80 Deljabans - assuming I don't miss thanks to that frontal EVP stat they have. It takes me 5 seconds with a Me/quick to cast Gidiga 3 times and deal 960 damage to 6 Deljabans. In exchange for 1 second and 200 damage, I'm hitting an entire mob instead of just part of a mob and not worrying about evasion.

Just tested it, and those numbers are pretty darn consistent. While I'd rather use Hishou Jinren-zan against Deljabans, that's an entirely different kettle of fish. I picked Deljabans because they have decent MST and DFP stats and no elemental weakness to throw off the numbers, and S2 Linear Line because that way you can't say I'm just molesting B-rank enemies.

While you shouldn't overwrite Renkai and Robado right away with Gi Technics, they're both useful.

From the context of his post, it seemed as though he was using Gifoie like a general weapon; what I should have said was, "Don't use Gifoie, use Gizonde if you're not trying to exploit an elemental weakness. Shock > Burn any day of the week against small-medium mobs." That sound better?

I agree with Asheth. I don't in any way feel gimped. I can respond to any situation and fare reasonably well. Sometimes I have all wands and cards, sometimes 4 melee + heal and debuffs. It just depends on the monsters and what classes are in the party.

Also, I agree that Gifoie isn't overly useful. I bought Gifoie, Gibarta, and Gidiga at the same time. Gilfoie is lv7, Gibarta is lv14, and Gidiga is lv19. Just isn't as much use for it, at least in the missions I play.

I think i have partied with you before rykker. No gizonde? I did have gifoie but didnt like it. Maybe i should try gidiga

Asheth, I believe we have run together. Gidiga rocks, especially in labs S2, you can level it quick there. I have gizonde, but have not used it much. Sounds like I need to start leveling it, though. I didn't take into account its nice status effect.
