We are losing valuable information! What should we do?

Old Phantasy Star fansites are starting to dissapear off of the net along with their valuable articles. We need to salvage these valuable articles somehow.

Algol-Star-System.net is gone now and it had lots of valuable information on it like screenshots of all the PSIII endings etc.

I have also noticed that the beyond algo website at http://members.tripod.com/~rak1/BeyondAlgo/BAindex.html has also dissapeared along with valuable articles like the intro to palmalatin and the palmalatin dictionary.

The sites are dropping like flies. Whats next, PScave.com?

We need to dig through web archives and salvage as much info as possible and then repost it at the phantasy star wiki at http://phantasystarwiki.com/index.php?title=Main_Page

yes I know, its quite sad indeed. It's really hard to find an up to date Phantasy Star website these days...I would like to start one myself...but I dont know where to begin nor did I know if I could find the motivation or times to do it...but starting a new website revolving around everything Phantasy Star is one of my dream (would have to buy a new domain name, since my current domain name dracrealm.com is not very representative of the series)

This is why I decided to focus mainly on the older series first, and PSU last (not to mention to give a courteous leeway to PSUpedia). Though the project never took off, and I've pretty much let it sit to it's own devices. If I can get some assistance with the project, I'll be more than happy to keep it open and begin seriously working on it again.

I've got forums set up as well, ready for moderators - and a photo album that needs some work, but can provide a fanworks archive forum.

The wayback machine is okay but it doesnt save too many images. Its really good for collecting text data though.

One thing you can do is build an offline mirror of existing Phantasy Star websites. A useful tool for building such mirrors is HTTrack Website Copier.

The wife and I are actually starting pre-pre-prework on our own RPG site complete with maps and enemy lists for our favorite classic RPG series. I'm heading up the info on Phantasy Star and she's doing the work on Shining Force. Really the only part of this project I don't look forward to is writing a guide for PS3.
