PSU-PC: Sealab Black Room of Death

OK, this is getting to me. There seems to be a block in Lab Recovery that I'm unable to enter--anytime I enter it, whatever block it happens to appear as, I find myself in a black room instead of on the appropriate map. To my party members, I just appear to be stuck in the door.

A friend has identified it as "the bridge room," but what we haven't identified is the root cause or the cure.

Has anyone else had this problem, or otherwise have any idea what causes it and/or what to do about it? I'm on PC. Any help would be appreciated, as this is rather upsetting.

Hm, on Consoles, one would suspect a damaged game disk. Maybe run a harddisk check?

Possibly, but I'm a bit irked, because I have done labs before without encountering the problem. Then again, I don't know if the "bridge room," as such, appears every spawn or not.
