It appears that way, although I haven't actually done it more than once. The amount of fragments you receive seems dependent on the difficulty rank you do them on, although I haven't a clue what effect mixing different levels (some on C, some on A, rather than all of them being A or B or C) has on what you receive, either.
Oh, and you don't have to get Rank S on them at all--you just need to complete them.
