Just wondering, since I'd be using Mechgun for the first time. My palette for my FiGunner would look like this:

    Twin Sabers
    Double Saber
    Twin Handguns
    Twin Handguns
    Xbow+Dagger
    Mechgun+Saber

For my Xbow, I was thinking fire and dark bullets, and for the Mechgun, I was thinking the ultimate PA. As for my dualies, I wanted ice and shock. Anyone have suggestions for bullet PA's?

I've gotten the Ult Mech PA on Chiyo... I regret it now though... It's too Situational for its own good... Wouldn't be that bad if it didn't eat up so much damn PP.

Here are my PAs for those Guns:

    Duallies
    -Ice ( Damage )
-Fire ( Burning minor MObs )

    Mech
-Thunder ( Shock inor Mobs )
-Ult ( Stun Locking Jarbas and Rainbow Beast )

    Xbow
-Earth ( Damage ) <- Note, I don't use this weapon anymore at all

i dont know if this will help you much, but I just try and keep 2 bullets for the guns I use, both of opposite elements

Bullet PA's for your Mechgun get Mayalee Fury. You've seen me use it on those seeds . It's great to keep them from attacking but it drains PP really fast.

Best tactic for that is to either use a high pp mechgun to keep the enemy stunned while your allies take them out.

or Go with high damaging mechguns with little pp but have an array of mechgun supplies in your inventory.

For your crossbow, go for Yak Zagenga. The lower your PP, the more damage you do. Keep your distance from mobs and know some tactics to keep alive.

well, looking at AoI as a x-bow fighgunner's dream come true, we'll be getting lvl 30 bullets meaning 3 shots on those x-bows and lvl 3 SE's to boot. I'd suggest a DoT bullet for this. (my Fighgunner has dark lvl'd up already so when AoI comes I can make some real use of it.)
The damage is nice on crossbows, but it leaves a bad taste in my mouth using non-DoT's on a FG since your melee pa's will do so much more damage overall.

Mechguns, I tried a few.. not a fan of the weapon personally.. at least not yet. I'd go for either the ult or a single element pa that'll benefit you damage wise. (like I do alot of jarba heavy missions normally, so I'm considering getting the ice one for some easy damage.)

And twins... From my experience, the ice one is all you really will need, but if you're interested in supporting yourself, twin mayalee is the way to go. (shoot each enemy once to lower their defense then go to town with your melee arts.)

Really, the mechgun is a fighgunner's main damage dealing gun, crossbow is great for getting an enemy infected or burned,
and twins are for anything that flies.

-At least according to how I play. seems to work great for me, I solo most missions with ease, including the ones people cower at the thought of soloing.-

    Huh.

Actually, some of the highest DPS I've been dealing on any mobs in Firebreak so far is with my ice mechgun. It does some very brutal damage.

I generally only use the twin handguns on enemies that I need to aim for, such as Zoona/Shagreece and the flying bosses; anything else that's melee-resistant but not bullet resistant the mechgun does a fair bit more damage. Remember, mechguns are very dependant on your base ATP, and figunners have high base ATP.

Of course, mechguns do tend to tap out fast; I carry 4 Beam Vulcanics at all time.

Mayalee Fury is (as other posters said) situational. I use it against many of the large enemies where other members of the party can deal more damage than I can, or when the team really needs it. Locking down a Gol Dova, a SEED Vance, or any number of the larger monsters can really come in handy. Against basic enemies however, it blows hard. You'll knock them up once, sure; then they turn around in midair so that your shots hit their front and miss.

As far as crossbow goes, I'd endorse fire, if only to wait for the level 3 bullets that figunners get in AoI. That'll be the only SE3 we have access to, other than traps, and I've seen it proc fairly often when my guntecher uses it. Lightning would be a better choice than dark. I actually overwrote my Level 24 dark crossbow when I saw how much better the fire crossbow was.

I don't see as how you'd need 2 twin handguns in your palatte, unless one of them has Mayalee Twin on it. Twin Handguns are pretty situational, and very often you can do more damage with melee than with twins except in very specific situations.

Get twin handgun bullets for any boss you think you'll be doing a fair bit of fighting against that flies; I have light, ice, and lightning twins in my trick bag for Fakis, Onma/De Ragan, and Dimma.

For Mechguns, ice is essential, as is light I'd think, because that way you'll tear up melee-resistant enemies. Other than that, well, pick any element that a lot of the enemies you face has, I'd say.

I'd recommend getting the ult Twin Dagger PA and abusing that. Hishou Jinren-zan is the best thing since sliced bread for figunners.

Mmm, do you want to meet up tomorrow Mitsu? I'll show you some of the PAs I've found useful as a figunner and why. Not right now, I'm going to sleep.

Eh, well, actually.. Ryuki's the one using Twin Daggers. Mk II is the one using Twin Sabers,
Single Sabers, Double Sabers, and Single Daggers. So.. that idea's out there. I was thinking
Burn/Virus Xbows, but as everyone's been saying, Burn's the better one.
As for dualie bullets, you guys recommend ice, which most of everyone has, but maylee as well?
    Hmmm~

Well, Mayalee is good; with SE2 Zalure on the 100+ enemies I deal close to 30 more per hit - and on mechguns, that ADDS UP FAST. Plus, it's a quick way of tagging enemies.

Then again, it all depends on how many PA frags you're willing to spend. XD

Yeah, my fG has fire x-bow and it lands pretty well on jarbas and polovahras. I went dark on my FG to make it a little less tedious when leveling them
Plus I really dislike leveling the same bullet on different characters. only one I tolerated for that was twin freeze (FG and fG chars) since it comes in handy so much. Though, I really don't NEED it on my fG, it just adds a bit of variety to her attacks.

Twin Mayalee appears to have a higher att % modifier than the rest as well. (lvl 16 mayalee- att 141%,acc 61% vs lvl 23 twin dark- att 146%, acc 75%) though the pp cost is more, it hits harder and debuffs, so it's a pretty fair trade off IMO.
