Let's just say I had a "bad experience" with the WoW patch downloader, and I may be coming back to PSU.

My question simply is: Is the PSU patch downloader safe and secure... and stuff? There's no chance that I might get a trojan or a keylogger or anything?

I just looked at my box, and it says it requires 9GB of space!!

That's... alot... But I can still afford it... Its just... so... much...

You could always get it for the PS2, No patches needed.

    It's not really 9GB though. It's actually like 5GB.

So whether it takes up my whole harddrive or not... I shouldn't have to worry about trojans or anything sneaking into the patches?
I'd just liek to hear form atleast one more person on that matter before I reinstall anything...

9GB was the amount of space the game was originally going to take up before the developers decided to halve the content then later release the missing half as the Ambition of the Illuminus expansion.

    Just kidding.. maybe.

It's 9GB with all the content that will be released before AoI. And no No trojans or anything, Blizzard does that tho, Diablo 2 did the same thing

I see absolutely no threat of malware coming from the patch server. I don't see how it could really get in nor have I heard of any reports of anyone's system being infected with it.

    Highly doubtful.

Haven't seen much new downloaded content at all.. just executable patches and tweaks to data files. (With the biggest tweak coming in the initial PC version patch..)

Mostly all the content they add to the game is already in the game and just unlocked or created server side.

Missions and what not are just downloaded, temporarily, into RAM as you load them from the Flyer Bases or Guardian HQs.
