    Ok well i just got all my equipment today to play . I go to the network settings menue and it asks if i need a user ID and password to access my provider and something about PPPoE is used O_o.

    I dont understand what it means D:

    PPPoE is the User ID and Password it's talking about. If you need to start a program and enter a password/User ID on any of your computers before it is able to connect to the internet, put that info into the PS2 during your Network Configuration. I don't know of many service providers that still force you to do that though, so you should be able to just leave those boxes blank and go to the next step.

    ahhh ok, well i use that cablevision optimum online crap I tried pushing no and putting the other stuff on auto but when it tests connection it didnt go through D:

    sorry for double post. During the connection test it says timeout error, and when i try to conenct to the game it says error with DNS server

    I have the timeout error also, can someone tell me what this is?

    I fixed it, I just had to reset the modem.
