I tried to get the gamecube for christmas, and PSO and the Broadband Adapter. But due to the cost of all of these items.I won't be in the world of PSO anytime soon.

If Sega and Sonic Team (after they're done with the Xbox version of PSO) would just get up and create a port of PSO for the PS2 then I wouldn't be typing this.
The only MMORPG's that suit me are EQOA and Final Fantasy XI.

But EQOA doesn't suit me(I'm not a big fan of the series),and I'm not sure if FFXI will come to the United States?

I'm in a rock and an hard place. =(

I don't know if I would want to play FFIX...it tanked majorly in Japan. Seems they don't like MMORPGs over there. Hmm...could it be that they are scared that the legions of n00bs that would come on if America got the game would ruin it? I think so.

actually dj, i think the reason it did so poorly in japan was the fact that every character you make, you have to pay an extra fee to use them online.

Yea, the pricing scheme was a little borked. Add in the fact that you had to buy the hard drive as well as well as a network adapter (there were shortages, go figure), and I can see why intially it did bad. If you would have checked recent subsciber numbers though, you would see that they are nearing Everquest as far as active accounts (it's in the 400,000 plus area) and it's actually doing quite well. To my knowledge, I know for sure that FFXI is coming out on computer, but the PS2 release in the states is iffy at best... Square/EA seems to have quite a few contrdictory answers depending on who you talk too... :/
