My friend all did was

When he drank soda or something he made sure it went to the other side of the mouth where the sore wasn't located then drank it ate it and it wore off lol

don't drink orange juice, lemonade, or anything else citrus. Unless you have a natural immunity to severe spicy food (like me ) stay off of that to. Other than that, buy some ointment at your local pharmacy, also some throat sprays work wonders for numbing the mouth for an hour or so.
