So no, you do not have a point.

I run through batteries on my most powerful/useful weapons pretty easily, even in a team... and that's using efficient skills, holding off on PA attacks until I've got multiple targets, etc. Maybe the team's pulling a lot of wieght for you, I know I've been in groups where people were entirely AFK and it didn't slow things down much.
