Actually he's right and you're wrong if you can afford to continually cover and double your bet you will eventually win out. If you flip a coin it always has a 50% chance of landing on heads, but the odds that it will land on heads 100/100 times is astronomical.

Ergo if you continue to double up the bet you must eventually win. This is why the second green was added to roulette wheels, and why casinos limit the number of times you can double up on one color!

i ran 40 numbers through that and the pattern it came up with was wrong.

After some experimentation, I've found that the Martingale method actually works if you play conservatively, you can cover doubling your bet for long enough to outlast the occasional streak, and you aren't amazingly unlucky. I've been getting a slow but ultimately steady trickle of Vol coins into my account this way.

EDIT: Did I mention that you really, really have to play conservatively? I really have to stop forgetting this myself.
