Okay, I'll try to cover the basics here:
-This game is a direct port of the GCN version. Just about every gameplay element that is in the GCN version is in the XBOX version.
-The game is being released with the XBOX Starter kit in Japan on 1/16/03. The Japanese have to pay a 600Yen/month fee because they get the game for free.
-The US version is going to be released on 2/25/03, and is selling for only $39.99. Microsoft has not said that there will be a monthly fee in the States. IMHO, because they have stayed quiet this long, I highly doubt that they would slap a fee on a game that's coming out in a few weeks.
-This game is on XBOX Live, so it requires a BB connection and an XBOX Live subscription. It enjoys all the perks of XBOX Live: A universal and user friendly Friends List, a feedback feature to aid Microsoft in banning trouble-makers, and high-speed BB-only network, and the comfort of having the most powerful software company in the world protecting the servers from cheating.
-A voice communicator comes with the $50 XBOX Live Starter kit, and PSO fully supports it. PSO also supports a USB keyboard adaptor, and, of course, the soft-keyboard, word-select, and the picture-chat.
