It pisses me off that when ST thinks they are making a *fun* *challenging* level, it's just wave after wave of impossibly buffed monsters that have near infinite hp, and can one hit kill you. Oh, and then to make it SUPER FUN, they time you...

suxors. There has to be SOMETHING in between OMG easy and OMG DEATH! X_X

And I think it's PLENTY hard to level, I haven't heard as many people complain about it being too quick, as much as they want the cap to be raised higher constantly. I'd say... if you have any kind of life outside the game it is sufficiently difficult to level, although the 1 up cup got me over the hump where I was too low leveled to fight stuff to get good exp, and too high leveled to get decent exp from C...

Other than that, my complaints are few.

I'm not sure I understand at all, but good luck with that!

Ya know Remedy, you bring it on yourself. It's like wearing a shirt with a derogatory remark on it, and then getting up in arms repeatedly and on-going when someone makes a comment. You'd think you'd be used to the negative attention and would get over yourself and the comments other people make by now, but you just perpetuate the problem by issueing forth more drama and back-lash. You're effectively flame-baiting, and then when someone does come along and make a half-hearted laugh about it and that they did get reprimanded, you turn it around that, yet again they are trolling you for 'some unknown reason' and that it's the staff's fault for not getting rid of people who bother you.

Welcome to socialising in life, where not everyone gets along with everyone else; but where you're expected to be mature enough to keep to yourself and bite your tongue if necessary. Ever hear of being the bigger person? Try it, might help more than you think. Whatever you've been doing hasn't been working; and from experience I always had a much funner time picking on people who get overly offended over simple things because they always blow it further out of proportion; little effort on my part for a bigger bang. =]

Also, for PSU. I wasn't able to handle that from the start. It seemed like you were either blowing through things, or you were just getting plowed over. Neither are fun, there never really seemed to be a gradual increase of challenge, or even a steady anything. Games that are tweaked well will know when to incorporate necessarily hard scenarios, and when to keep things at a decent challenge for 'standard' play.

Some games make you feel like you're either in a valley or on a platue when it comes to the difficulty, and those games are damn annoying. Kinda makes you wonder what happened to ST between PSO and PSU, like how did they try to make a psuedo-MMO with such a grindfest in every aspect, as opposed to what made PSO gameplay itself cool and fullfilling.

Best sound effect ever in the series? Getting your SPECIAL WEAPON teched and then seeing what you found. =]

    ....

my dad used to pick on me...

... he said things that weren't even true on purpose to get me upset and I usually ended up crying over it...

... he said it was funny because I over reacted so much, it gave him endless amusement.

It must be easier to do that to someone you don't even know IRL compared to your daughter.

Your DAD did that to you? That's fucked up D:

I don't post on PSOW often, as you can see. Stuff like this is exactly the reason. However....

This Remedy thing is getting out of hand. When I'd first started hearing people complaining about Remedy, I had no idea what they were talking about because I'd never seen nor heard of any person named Remedy before then. I used to just say, "hey, you know this Remedy person is probably not so bad. Why are you always making fun of them?" To which the inevitable response would be, "check this link out for something Remedy said/did/asked for."

Now, I'm not going to say Remedy is one thing or the other, because I have no idea what he's really like and I thought the ED article was too much (not because it insulted him, but because ED rides in its own wahhhhmbulance). However, I agree with ABDUR101 that Remedy seems to bring all of this on himself, as if he would prefer to be paid attention to over anything else. Every thread he seems to post in gets maimed by uberdrama, and honestly I'm starting to agree with these people.

If Remedy just put his hands over his ears and pretended not to notice (like most of us in the real world do when they've got no one to turn to), e.g., stopped posting near-flame opinions about things and talking about diads in threads unrelated to them, all this might die out.

That all said... People really should just leave him alone. This constant thread highjacking is a joke of the highest order.

lol- my dad is... a different kind of person. It wasn't like he called me names, but we'd all be getting ready to go out to dinner or something and he'd come to my room and tell me "Oh, we're not going." even as my mom is waiting in the car. He'd buy me stuff and pretend it was for my brothers- Stuff like that. He has never done it to my brothers, and he does it to me still when I visit my parents. I cannot tell you how much therapy I've needed... but he's a great dad... once you get used to him.

If his jibes continued to the point where you actually needed therapy he wasn't a great enough dad D:

    No, I'm just over sensitive...

And Aewyn, you just gave the info I needed to do a little googling and catch up with the whole remedy situation, lol ^_^ There were some things on the official boards that had gone over my head...

People just need to stop expecting THE PERFECT GAME and stop wanting everyone else to be THE PERFECT PLAYERS because everyones opinions of what is perfect is different. I mean, we can at least treat each other at least as well as we would to each others faces right?

Although the community here is better than in Halo3... The only verbal argument I've ever gotten into in a video game was in Halo with 3 English guys that insisted I was a little boy, and then that I must be an ugly fat chick, because my gamer score was better than theirs in Halo... Then they spent the rest of the time mocking every word I said when I started ignoring them... *shudder* maybe not enough therapy...

What's it going to be people? What do you want? A balanced game where classes are not made absolutely redundant due to its two core features being made more available in a more powerful form in other classes. A community that isn't filled with assholes who will troll someone simply because they're a bit controversial and have a unique posting style. Moderators who will do their job and enforce these rules and actually punish these trolls instead of letting them flood a topic to almost 100 posts - none of which were infracted with warnings.
Remedy, I'm aware that some people have decided to poke fun at you a bit, but I'm afraid that you are crossing the line with some of your comments here. Contrary to what you stated, adminstrative action has been taken against MANY users who have been involved in 'trolling' or various forms of harassment. These actions may not always be made public knowledge, as they are really nobody's business, but they are taking place.

The community as a whole is better than any gaming community I've ever been a part of, so I don't think it is "filled" with quite as many bad apples as you may think. The moderators do a very good job in my opinion, given that they are all donating their own personal free time to doing a 'job' that doesn't really benefit them at all. What makes their work harder, though, is having to play referee when users start slinging mud at each other and creating an overdramatic mess that starts flooding the forums.

People tend to take things for granted and forget that PSOW is being run by a group of volunteers who do it soley for the benefit of its members and the community. Making their work more difficult, or publicly slandering them, shows a great amount of disrespect for their time and effort.

You contribute a lot to the community through your extensive knowledge of the game, but you also stir things up quite a bit and bring a lot of negativity to areas where it need not be. I would ask that you, and everyone else for that matter, keep the above things in mind when choosing how to conduct yourself on this site. We try to do the best that we can and all we ask is that people do not make our jobs harder. I don't think that is unreasonable.
