What is the big deal with rare mags? I know some are used in weapon combinations but besides that what is the big hoopla. A normal mag with 130 pow is the same as a 130 pow rare mag, right?

    Aesthetic value very interesting.

Exactly. The rare mags simply make a character look cool. And a cool-looking character earns more respect, and more friends.

Like in my case, I've themed my FOmarl. She has a red and pink dress, with a Pian (the cupid) mag, a Magical Piece (the heart-key wand), a Safety Heart, and Love Heart. It just looks cool.

I understand to an extent. My FOmar's robe matches his IIa mag . But on the other hand I have less friends because Imy Character does not look enough...i.e plain Jane or Joe Smoe. Hmm I need to wear my Rukimin more often.

Not only do they look good but they are EASY to raise to your specific (fickle) requirements! I'm making a balance mag (50 to all stats) And it's a PANZER TAIL Too bad I can't get online to trade it or what not. All i know is that my friend played long and hard just to get me the famed Panther' Spirit How nice! Heehehehe, then I had to make a st00pid Naga mag (sheesh)! Well, That's all for now! buh-bye

Rare MAGs look cool, and also give you certain bonuses. For instance, my level 200 Sato speciality gives me multiple instances of invulnerability. And, I can't tell you enough how many times that ability saved my ass from death -- most of it comes when my HP is in critical. Way too many times to count. Before I had a Sato, my level 200 Varaha basically sucked. I died more times with it than I care to remember.

My level 200 Sato is also a god send, not just the invincibility, but bringing me back to life after some nasty in Ult. wastes me. My Nidra is also great, but my friend is using it, so I am more attached to my Sato.

The only cure for your depression is to shell out lots of rares for a Mag farmer to get you a rare Mag. That is my expert opinion.
