Lately I've been doing runs where the rare, and non-rare, distribution setting has been set on "in order" and I have only gotten 2 or 3 rares out of 25+ that are usually dropped in an S Winter Event mission.

I don't know what's going on, but this is very frustrating. I wouldn't mind it if I was getting just the 7 or 8 star rares. That's just the order I would fall under for that pick up. But when everyone is getting everything and I'm getting nothing then it tells me that something is F'd up.

    Has anyone else experienced this?

The drop setting in party isn't perfect, that's why there are many inconsistency & confusion.

It should go in order so everyone in the party has a drop after the other, but it's not always that way. From my observation, set in order has some kind of randomness in it too, you can see that with 'rare' drops.

It's not confirmed, but I heard changing/moving to the next block also reset the order. That could be another reason for the uneven distribution.

Have you been leaving any drops on the floor? I recall someone did some tests that showed that "In Order" doesn't distribute via what is picked up, but rather via what is dropped getting assigned to you the second it drops.

In order distributes EVERYTHING in order so if you pick up non rares it counts as your turn. Random is the most fair one. It distributes the rares more evenly.

Umm where did you get that idea? If you recall Rare and Normal items have two completely different distribution settings; Rares can be set on give finder with Normals on Set in order, or Rares on Random and Normal on Give finder, etc.

    This is not true.

Yes, I've been on runs where people don't bother picking up half the rares because they're junk.

quit yer bitchin and just play the game old man! ;o

never had that happen with in order. ive had it happen many a time with random. i dont like using random because half the time, things will be distrubuted evenly, but then the other half, i get almost nothing. my luck sucks when it coms to random.

i like in order because everyone gets a share of the loot. if you really want, we can start doing give finder, and just call our drops like the good ole days of pso when we run missions next.

I've seen this post, and we have gotten rare drops one after another in a party of 2 that both went to the same person, which disproves this. UNLESS, from what my friend said, the order is reset everytime an order is completed and a new order is started, or it starts from a randomly picked person in the group. Also, ya, setting both items on set in order supposedly keeps them both on the same order, so try setting NORMAL items on random and see what happens.

Yeah when a rare drops it's basically locked to a person. So all those rares your skipping are the ones your missing out on =P
Sometimes your destined to get trash.
