XNA Game Studio gets Zune support

So... Games on Zune in the near future. It's already linked to peoples' Xbox Live Accounts, so maybe you'll be able to rack up achievements/gamerscore on the go... Or wireless local multiplayer.

Now maybe more people will buy the things.

I think they have been planning this for a while. MS came up with the Live Anywhere concept a while ago, but never took it anywhere. I guess this is the realization. Seems cool. If it happens, I'm going to buy a Zune and sit outside the Apple store and glare at everyone that walks out with an iPod and call them a jackass.

This is pretty interesting. The Zune is a much more logical device to feature games than the iPod, especially given its wireless capabilities. And if those games manage to somehow integrate your music library...that'd be pretty awesome.

I wonder what the odds of AudioSurf getting ported to the Zune are?

AudioSurf on Zune... It could work, but it wouldn't be nearly as pretty as it is now.

It certainly has enough buttons on it, and potential analog-ish control with the squircle on the new ones.
