Hey, for you and me, Ninpou Kage Bunshin will always be Hattori Hanzo's move from Samurai Shodown.

The main reason I know they were talking about Naruto was because google popped up like 100 links for Naruto. Of course Kage Bunshin was around long before Naruto (even Samurai Shodown). Ninja Scroll, Ninku, Flame of Recca, Yuu Yuu Hakusho, even Dragonball. But of course everything done in Naruto originated from Naruto, no matter how many other shows/novels/comics had done it previously.
