Ep4 9-1 G-quest script
So here's the script for 9-1. Typed up all of it. There's going to be errors but I'm just posting it as is. I'll make corrections later or someone here can take a look and fix it.
Edit: Made some changes to the format.
Characters speaking are underlined. Characters spoken to more than once are in Italics and Underlined.
Cutscenes are Bold
Areas are marked with Bold and Underline with '='. Locations within an area are marked with a '--' and italics.
9-1: Missing Reasearch
Contact with our research team was lost near the Crater.
Client: Principal
Quest: We've lost contact with our reasearch team. Go search the area around the Crater.
=Pioneer 2=
--Principal's office--
(Irene)
We've been expecting you, [Class] [Name].
We've got an emergency situation, here. Thank you for coming.
Do you know about the Crater that was formed by a meteor strike?

Allow me to fill you in, then.
Pioneer 2 had detected a meteor approaching the Planet Ragol.
The Lab had determined that it would miss both Pioneer 2 and the planet.
Because of that, an official announcement was never made. But...
Suddenly, a beam of light erupted from the surface and hit the meteor.
The path of the meteor changed, and it crashed into the surface.
Thankfully, Pioneer 2 and the Central Dome were both unaffected.
A huge crater was formed, and a strange light came forth from inside.
The principal ordered a research team to go and investigate the incident.
That research team never reported back in, though.
We want you to go look for that missing team, [Name].
The teleporter's been set with the same coordinates the team used.
I'm sure you understand the huge risk involved with this assignment.
That is all.

I understand why the military would send a team... but the Lab?

Our calculations show that the meteor shouldn't have hit Ragol.

Ever since the meteor hit, everythings been chaotic.
We've got to get more information and help!
--Outside Principal's office--
(Lady in shops)
I wonder what I can afford today...

...hey, were you just listening in on me?
(Scientist by check room)
I saw it!
I'm telling you, I saw the whole thing!
I had the meteor's trajectory under surveillance.
That was part of my assignment. Then, as I was monitoring...
Something suddenly hit the meteor and threw it off course!
What could it have been?
(Man outside principal's office teleporter)
Those uniformed folks have been really busy lately.
It's been like this since the meteor hit.
...no, it was like this a bit before then, actually.
(Boy outside hunter's guild)
So, a meteor impacted the surface of Ragol?
I hear it came pretty close to hitting Pioneer 2!
You could even feel the shockwave onboard this ship!
(Lady oustide med center)
What's with all of these people trafficking about?
Can't everyone just slow down for a second?
(Nurse in med center)
If you're hurt head to the Medical Center for some aid!

This teleporter will take you down to Ragol.
There are apparently strange new creatures on the surface.

Things have just been extraordinarily busy for us in the military.
The Pioneer 2 army just doesn't have enough manpower.
We're not going to be able to survive in our current state.

Cutscene:
Sue appears after clearing enemies somewhere halfway through the quest.
(Sue)

Talk about luck, though. You sure are a strange one.
You're definitely not military, but you're up to something, I'm sure.
I wonder what you'll try to pull next.

And here's another battle tip from me.
The creatures in the area tend to attack en masse.
Watch the radar, and try not to get surrounded.
In groups, these creatures are not to be trifled with.

That's very unfortunate.
Still, I hadn't been informed of prior military activity there!
Could they have something to do with these new enemies near the Crater?
We'll need to keep a closer eye on them.
