Problems with Nano blasts

Basically i have no idea where to find it or how to use in the slightest.i heard about it when PSU came out, but never really got around to playing PSU. now i got my hands on this version and i'm wondering how to unleash the fury.

When you reach lvl 20 buy it from the makeover shop then when your gauge fills up press triangle and circle. the gauge fills buy attacking and taking damage if i remember right.
