accessing download missions?

Hey everybody, i just got my version of PS:P running yesterday, and I have gotten past most of the general stumbling blocks with the language difference, figured out most of the basic menus, and saving, room stuff....

I'm curious, is there a guide here that shows how to access the download missions? I have not been able to figure out which menu system leads to that, and I have some badges I would like to spend...

I also have some items in the inventory screen that would normaly be the synth mat/board screen, the icons are very complex looking, what would these be? i heard that the badges icon is two triangles, so I have those, but what would these other items be? they are A rank, I'm pretty sure.

not that anyone has replied, but I got it figured out, both of my questions. I downloaded the missions last night, and figured out that the only icon in the synthesis menu is a grinder..
