New PSU IRC channel opens today :)

For anyone who might be interested..

We've started up a new Phantasy Star Universe IRC channel!

It's intended to be a little different to ones that currently exist, as there are rules that visitors will be expected to keep to, to ensure that it remains clean and worksafe for all.

If you'd like to visit, the details are as follows:

We've got a Java client set up for those without IRC clients, if you're totally new to IRC I would recommend reading some of the pages in the FAQ link on the above rules page.

Who are the mods of this new psu channel?

It's covered in the rules Basically anyone who comes there and we recognise as a rational human being, either from going there regularly or from elsewhere. And I really mean anyone, there's already two of the official forum mods opped on there, and a collection of players.

I'm not really one for the small number of dictators concept..

Well if you go to the URL http://psu.system11.org/IRC there's a Java based client you can access at the top right.

If that doesn't work (Java is often a problem for me), then all you need is an IRC client, and you can find help on that at http://psu.system11.org/IRC/faq.php, download a client for your system, and the connection details are:

server: irc.lunarnet.org
port: 6667
channel: #psu

Yes it is pretty quiet some of the time, but the people there are pretty chatty when they're awake and someone has something interesting to talk about.
