The private server i play PSOBB on deletes my acc every time i dont play for 30 days in a row, so every character i make eventually gets deleted :/

    Cant wait til FFXIV, and even if i could....no PS3. : (

Lose-lose situation for me too. I COULD go buy WoW and pay a subscription for that...but im far too lazy smart to get into the game that would own my life.

*dusts himself off* Wow, this is definitely one heated discussion. Might as well throw my two meseta into the ring.

Personally, I think the Guardians' Cash Idea is a bit flawed, and I'll tell you why. I've seen this game mechanic in other MMOs before, but there was once difference: The main MMO was free.

Personally, I think SoJ may have dropped the ball a bit on GC. Will that also happen when it works over state-side? Personally, I hope we get the GC content for free. If anything, we may have more of an influx on 360 and the English PC/PS2 servers.

Anyhow, that's my take on it.

If it comes to us not getting GC, we likely wont get the content at all.

They might put the items in rotation for us or something, but i doubt we'd get the missions. It would piss the JP players off to no end. (they're already heated about this.)

Besides, Sega says they're "THINKING ABOUT IT", but im almost positive GC will make it to US/EU. Thats too much potential money they're missing out on.

Honestly, at this point I'm almost numb to the pain of whatever Sega will throw at me. Years of playing PSU and PSO with an incredible lack of updates have made me rather despondent.

The idea of Guardians Cash is ridiculous. That's all there is to be said about it. Surely it'd make sense to raise the sub by £1/$1 and release this content to the whole population? The extra would soon add up to a considerable amount.

I feel like I have a ton to say on this subject, but I know it'll make no difference whatsoever. Fools will defend the idea, and others like myself will just continue playing normally. Others may quit in a rage, and I can't knock them for doing so. I would myself, however other circumstances mean my desire to walk away from PSU is overruled.

I dunno, just a random though... The community could come together on this issue really easy. The players that do buy it, produce enough ot the GC items to hand out to everyone, and make it so the items are nothing special. Thats just a "spread the wealth" idea though.

The other is to let them put it in, and nobody buy it. Let Segac see all their hard work go to waste. When the design team sees all their hard work going to waste, they'll be pretty pissed and try to find some way of fixing it.

The idea of making PSU free, and keeping items like this as a pay thing would work, but there's already too many players happy with what is here. Segac would just lose a ton of money. Unless ofcourse they did a server wipe, and started limiting all kinds or rare items to pay only, like all the other MMO's did. In which case they'd see a huge profit for a little while, then just like other MMO's, a rock bottom fall.

Maybe they could make GC something that is easiest to get by paying, but say you could turn in 10 gold casino coins for $1 GC? Maybe not that exact way, but something that would be really hard and take a long time to do. This would loop players into playing more just to try it, even if only once. The main idea there is to make it something you can obtain in game, just at a much slower pace.

The problem here is, is that GC items are not sellable or tradable.
So, the only way to get these items is to PAY, which is what SEGA wants of course and therefore made them not sell/tradeable.

We could just all boycott psu when GC comes out here. I know there are still these crazy people that love giving out 100+$ for a dieing game, but even if it wasn't dieing, I would still think it's crazy pumping so much money in a game that 1. was payed for twice (the discs) 2. we pay monthly for and 3. we still don't have all the content unlocked that is on the discs AND 4. GC items are nothing more than the items out of PSP...how sad is that? You are not even paying for actual new content.
