No. You can't even highlight Challange on your own. and 2 manning is near impossible.

2-player Cmode is just not recommended if you are not good with it.

thanks for the info. I would like to get a group together and try it out but I'm scared they will quit after a couple of hours(I heard it takes 7 hours to complete) just so i'm straight on this, you can get S-rank weapons from it still?

C-mode Pros do 2 man teams all the time.

1: Yes most people will get bored or will have to leave. Solution - Trade guild cards and arrange a time to meet up and finish. Try using their forums to get a team (Do NOT make a topic, there is a topic for cmode meet-ups already, just look for it)

2: Yes, you can still get S ranks.

You make a challenge game and you can select the stage you left off at >_>

Challenge mode takes part in several stages. 7 (9? I forget) for Episode 1, and 5 for Episode 2. If your partners need to leave, you can simply finish the stage you're on, and when all of you (or if you find other people to play with) can play again, you can simply start from the next stage. You do NOT have to do all of the stages at once.
