Controller help

Well, I just got PSOBB today on my CPU, I got to LV 17 at a friend's house and I got to 18 here.

Someone told me I could hook up a PS3 controller to my PC and use that instead of having to use my key board for moving/attacking. Does anyone know how to do this?

Cant help you with PSOBB on these forms, but I will help you get drivers for your controller.

Do you have 32-bit or 64-bit PC? Cause the 32-bit is super easy, and the 64-but is a pain in the butt. Either one works though.

I made this little image a little bit ago. It's the ps3 controller setup I use for BB, and it's just like the GC controller

@ 2nd, but how did you get the controller to actually conect to your PC and function propperly for games?

You have to download the drivers. Configure the controller.
That's why I asked which Windows you have, 64-bit or 32-bit.
Tell me that and I will link you to the driver. Like I said, the 64-bit version is a pain, but I got it to work. The 32-bit is a matter of downloading the drivers, plug in and play.
I cant help you til you tell me that.

I dunno what a driver is (I literally dont know anything about computers) but my friend sais I can just get a 360 controller and he'd help me set it up so I was thinking of doing that tonight.

A driver is a program(type thing) that you NEED to run anything on a pc.
I do suggest if you have access to a 360 controller to use it, because it is a lot easier to set it up on a PC. I find the PS3 controller more comfortable, and I've played with both a 360 controller and PS3 controller.

TY, I'm gonna try to use your setup with it though, hopefully that'll GC it up a bit, eh if not I'll go back to default.

Oh, I've been meaning to ask, why cant we talk about BB here, this is the biggest PS site right? It's strange to me that we're not allowed to.

Cause BB is not on an official server anymore, it's a private server.
We can talk about it, just not how to get on, which "universe" type ship names, or anything like that. In PSO General it's pretty much all about PSO BB, but without mentioning BB.
For the controller setup I posted, that's with a PS3 controller, so the buttons will be different. Although, if you remember how a GC controller was like, you can easily set up the 360 controller like it. You shouldn't have a hard time doing it. I can set up my 360 controller and take a pic if you'd like. Just let me know if you have problems and I'll get a pic asap.
