Not exactly. If you reach a certain friendship level with the named character, they can give you their trademark weapon, Kai's Gunslash, Sarisa's Wand, etc.

I don't recall anybody talking about this before. (Probably because the game was in Japanese and no one could understand, lol.)
Well i'll definitely be getting the Strategy Guide before PSZ if I can but I won't spoil myself and read all the story etc, i'll read it once I beat the Story Mode on Normal or something before.
(I'm not even sure the guide will get released here with the stupid language law, i've seen others guide for sale though so there's always hope!)
