I'm sick of people supporting the "Free Tibet" act. It is nothing more than a sham.

The region just can't stand being controlled--that's fucking immature.

Protesting that it should be freed is only saying that it's alright/ awwright for everyone to get away with being independent for the sake of being independent.

Why are so many protecting it? I don't give a fuck that they're Bhuddist and that China won't rule them the same way; they're trying to complain and complain and complain until they get their way, and it's time for people to just stop listening.

Um... As I recall, they were "annexed" or something. And if you admit China will be harsh to them, that could, in fact, be fit into the UN definition of genocide, without too much work.

Especially with the clause about destruction of an ethnic identity. Contrary to popular belief, you can commit genocide without ever killing anyone.

In any case, a country's autonomy is regarded as protect-worthy by international players. Everyone is just afraid of PRC because of its size.

Tibet is a theocracy. The ruling body is their spiritual leadership. China, being a Communist nation, forbids religion. As far as the people of Tibet are concerned, it's not just a matter of who they're paying their taxes to-- they are fighting for the condition of their souls. So no, it's not just a bunch of whining and complaining over trivial matters.
