yeah but the thing that confuses me is on the update of that event, it says "compensation" and it lists the boosts and such under the compensation

Hmm, hopefully they'll think we should get compensation (room hax, Error 060/54/etc, laggy servers, etc)

That one is on JP, they get Bruce S2, HSM S2, and Egg thieves S2 each by weekly and enter the event period.
we already got Burce S2 and HSM S2 long ago, and schedule is so different, so we might not see it. Compensation is more possible.
