Haven't really got online yet, so, the titles you unlock....can you display them like below your name or something when playing with other folks?

Yes you can, you just have to go to the Options tab and select Player Display while in online/multiplayer. You can choose a combination of showing the name, title, and level of the player.

Also, when viewing your challenges on the vision phone in your room, if you press O on a title it will give you an option to assign that title to your character. You can do this offline.

I've had the game for only a few days, and I've yet to discover; what does the light mirage blast do?

It speeds up other character's Blast gauge charge rates. Quite useless for soloing.

If you have a lightning or a ground Mirage Blast, use that instead. I alternate between those two, just because they're better than the ice or fire.

You're probably a Newman since you brought up the light mirage blast but if you're a human use the dark one. It's actually good.
